Thousands of families in western Tennessee and Kentucky-including my own family-have been affected by the closing of the Goodyear factory in Union City, Tennessee. In this video, Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn fame gives voice to these families by singing a song written by one Goodyear worker. As Christians, we have Someone greater than Goodyear to trust. God will provide according to his riches in glory, but many of the nearly 2,000 employees of Goodyear in Union City-along with the other almost 10% of unemployed Americans-do not have such security. Perhaps God will use this down economy to direct people toward himself.
