About
About Our Family
I grew up in Hardin, Kentucky. Though I made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age, God’s genuine work in my life did not occur until the year 2000 when he saved me and called me to the Gospel ministry. I am deeply indebted to my home church, Hardin Baptist, for their love, teaching, and discipleship that has been formative in every area of my life.
With the help of some friends, I met a beautiful girl from Marion, Kentucky, and, as soon as I possibly could, I married her in May 2006. She is a graduate of Murray State University and writes about exercising her womanly dominion and photography at her blog: My Messy Manger. In February 2009, God blessed us with our first son, Jude.

[I have less hair now but that isn’t her fault. It’s in my genes.]
I graduated from Boyce College of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies and a minor in Missions. While in college, I pastored Elk Lick Baptist Church in Owen County, Kentucky before discerning God’s leadership to serve as short-term missionaries. For two years, our family served as missionaries in the Republic of Moldova where I taught New Testament, Church History, and Spiritual Growth at the EurAsian Baptist Bible Institute & Trade School.

Now, we have returned to Louisville, Kentucky where I am working on an Advanced Master of Divinity degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
About GospelLife
GospelLife.org began as our ministry website while serving as short-term missionaries in Moldova. However, now its purpose is to encourage friends and family by making a record of God’s daily grace in our lives and to connect Christians around the world to helpful and encouraging resources, especially in Romanian.
The name comes from Philippians 1:27:
Only let your manner of life be worthy of the Gospel of Christ.
This is the calling of every Christian—to live in a way that reflects the value of Jesus Christ—or to die trying.
